At Bobson Public School, discipline is regarded as an essential part of education. It is not intended to intimidate or punish, but to guide students towards self-discipline, responsibility, respect for others, and respect for themselves.

General Expectations

  • Students are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy, politeness, and respect towards teachers, staff members, fellow students, and visitors at all times.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory as per school and board norms.
  • Students must attend school from the first working day of the academic session.
  • Leave applications should be submitted in advance, except in genuine emergencies.
  • Parents may meet the Principal during designated visiting hours, with prior intimation.

Uniform, Appearance & Conduct

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform, neat and complete.
  • Carrying the School Identity Card and School Diary daily is compulsory.
  • Students are expected to maintain discipline not only within the school premises but also outside the school while in uniform.
  • The school campus must be kept clean and orderly. Littering or defacing school property is strictly prohibited.
  • Any damage to school property will invite appropriate disciplinary action and recovery of costs.

Classroom & Academic Discipline

  • Students are expected to maintain discipline, attentiveness, and sincerity during classroom activities.
  • Disruptive behaviour in classrooms, corridors, or common areas is not acceptable.
  • Homework, assignments, and academic work must be completed honestly and on time.
  • Use of unfair means during tests or examinations will invite strict disciplinary action.

Language & Behaviour

  • To promote language proficiency, students are encouraged to communicate in English within the school premises, unless otherwise instructed.
  • Any form of bullying, intimidation, abusive language, or disrespectful behaviour is strictly prohibited.
  • Parents or guardians are not permitted to meet students during school hours without prior permission from the school authorities.

Parents, Guardians & Visitors – Code of Conduct

While the school remains committed to addressing genuine concerns and queries, the following expectations apply to all parents, guardians, and visitors:

  • All interactions with school staff, including office personnel, teachers, and support staff, must be conducted with courtesy, patience, and mutual respect.
  • Misbehaviour, intimidation or aggressive conduct towards any member of the school staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Parents are requested to raise concerns through appropriate channels and during designated working hours, allowing sufficient time for verification and resolution.
  • Arguments, repeated confrontations, or insistence on matters outside school policy or CISCE regulations will not be entertained.
  • The school reserves the right to restrict or deny entry to any individual whose conduct disrupts the school’s functioning or compromises the dignity and safety of staff and students.
  • In cases of serious or repeated misconduct, the school may take appropriate action deemed necessary in the interest of maintaining a disciplined and respectful environment.

Electronic Devices & Personal Belongings

  • Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones or electronic gadgets to school.
  • Any prohibited item found on the premises will be confiscated and returned after a stipulated period.
  • The school shall not be responsible for loss or damage of personal belongings. Students are advised not to bring valuables to school.

Fees & Examinations

  • Students with outstanding dues may not be permitted to appear for examinations, assessments, or school activities.
  • Compliance with school rules regarding fees, attendance, and conduct is mandatory for academic continuity.

Disciplinary Measures

Bobson Public School believes in discipline that is corrective and reformative.

  • Minor acts of indiscipline may be addressed through counselling, warnings, or corrective measures.
  • Repeated or serious misconduct may invite strict disciplinary action, including suspension or, in extreme cases, expulsion.
  • All decisions taken by the school management in matters of discipline shall be final and binding.
